Both the transmitters have network cards on them. The tranmsitters are installed and setup outside and alligned in such a way that both the transmitters have a clear line of sight between each other.
The two bridges should be installed and setup on each of the buildings.
The network card on the bridge which is setup on the home is connected to the home router. The network card on the bridge on the barn can be connected to a switch. All users in the barn , can then connect to the switch.
With this setup, the internet on the home network can be shared among all the users in the barn.
How far can a wireless bridge reach

No. A wireless bridge is used for establishing point to point connectivity between two locations. It cannot work as an access point.
Can I use a router as a wireless bridge
No. You cannot use a router as a wireless bridge. Routers do not have the capability for setting up point to point wireless networks.
What is a point to multi point bridge
A point to multi point bridge is used when you need to connect multiple locations to one single location. For example, you need to setup a point to point wireless network between your home and two other locations like the barn or detached garage.
